He is places parallel to east half of Pelješac Peljesac, from which is separated with Mljetski canal.

Mljet Island is absolutely beautiful. I was there last year and will definitely be back. It is easily accessible by ferry or catamaran from Dubrovnik (2.5 hours and 90 minutes respectively). I highly recommend people to visit the island, and Croatia in general.
